    Gold Coast in close

Just a quick report tonight, Our customers caught a few cobia this afternoon on the close grounds with the big one weighing 41kgs. We landed 3 from six with a couple of bust offs. We also caught one yesterday at 18kgs, Also plenty of mack tuna, tailor, trag and school sharks today in close.

    Hi Matt,

Great catch there. I bet this morning it was hard to decide where to go - out to the 50's or stay in close.
Did the big cobia take a live bait or just a cut bait on a bottom rig? How long did the fight last, and how much trouble did Jason (or you) have gaffing and pulling something that large over the side?
I think my workmate Mark (plasticfantastic on Ausfish) is keen to go on a half-day charter soon so I'll probably book on the same day. See you then, and thanks for all the fish (on past trips)!

    Brent.
