Due to the addition of another family member recently (Little boy) I haven't been out for a while to help with the running of the house whilst the girl adjusts to number 2 and recovers from the birth. With her brother coming down from Biloela for the weekend it was the perfect excuse to venture out to our usual spot to try and bag some snapper as I had been promising Scott for about 6 years to take him out. We left the ramp at 3.30am to arrive at the spot before sun up. After 3 attempts at setting the anchor it was very slow going with the sun well and truly up before the action started. The first fish on board was a tiddler but this seams to be what always happens with Scott nailing a better fish to start things rolling along. They were coming in a bit quicker with at times quadruple hook ups happening. It would go dead and then fire again. This happened on several occasions until we bagged out so an up anchor was called in search of some different species all to no avail. We were back at the ramp by 11 am for the trip home. All in all not to bad a session with every on getting a feed of fish.
