My mate Troy and I had planned an overnighter Sat 4th / sun 5th. After doing the right thing and spending Fri night with our family's, troy and i left Lansborough for my house on Bribie in the pouring rain at 11am. A quick check on bouyweather showed 15-20knt nw untill 4am sun > >. We opted to get some rum and beer, drink, get some gear ready, drink, drink, drink . By 5pm the skies had cleared but we were to pissed to drive anywhere.
Left bribie VMR ramp at 3.30 and headed to some kelp grounds s/w of shallow tempest. First bait was fed down the burley just before five by Hans (sat arvo addition to the trip) and thirty seconds later he was hooked up to a 3-4kg snap. soon followed by a 9.5kg kingy for Troy and a 2kg squire for me. After a couple of dropped fish all went quiet. sun too high > Should have been there an hour earlier- Bloody Rum.
Headed out deep at around 7ish and worked our way north stopping at mark in oround 100m water. Not overly productive. Few gold spot wrasse and pigs.
worked up to east of hutchies and arrived at favourite pearlie spot at midday. pinnicle loaded with fish. Only small pearlies. Ended up finding good patch of pearlies on wire on flats close bye. Bagged out in one hour with triple hookups and a couple of double headers. Good sized pearlies for this spot at this time of year. Eleven fish over the 50cm mark.
With our bag under our belt off to Brennans. Burley up for a quick half hour for a 9kg kingy.
All up 27 fish for the day.
Graet weather as anyone who was out would vouch for.
Have photo's on camera. Never transfered them before . ??usb cable needed i think. any advice. I have sent photo's to mates by going to the kodak shop, putting them on a disk then onto the computer.
When you bought your camera you should have been given a cable that will plug into your computer and camera and a disk to load the software into your computer and then everytime you connect your camera to your computer it will automatically recognise the device and do it automatically.
thanks indy,
problem is we did that on the home computer but it's packed away and we don't have internet. I'm using gov work computer. would the easiest way be to go to kodak shop, put on a disk then load on work computer
