Youngest son arrived for a visit and keen to go fishing - never been offshore and never caught a Mackerel... So armed with this knowledge, we set out from Mooloolaba early Sunday morning. Arrived at spot X and started trolling pillies with a weighted skirt up front. wasn't long and he hooked into a nice Spottie 3.65Kgs. Set another troll going and he landed his second, - bit smaller at 2.8Kgs... All in all I couldn't have written a better script for his first Mackerel fishing venture....
well done mate he will rember that day for a while.

Well done in those conditions. Went out on Saturday but only boated one Schoolie. Hope conditions get better to get them fired up. Mighty_Quin
