    Open ended question. Lots of different applications etc. but if it come down to the crunch which one would it be?

    although I really love my alvey
    I'd have to choose threadline as it is more convenient with all the gears.

    Hands down it is my Berkley Bump spin rod from an old Fishing World subscription offer, a Shimano Spirex 2000 spinning reel and Berkley 4lb Fireline. This outfit has literally caught hundreds of impoundment fish.

    I can't pick a favorite out of all my reels. There is a choice between between threadlines, fly, overheads and alvey reels to choose from. When it all comes down to it I think the Alvey will outlast the lot of them, so I spose it has to be my choice.
