I saw the trailers and it seems to be a re-run.
Same blokes that were in the 60 minutes story !
I'll watch and find out, thanks Dave.
If you have cable or satellite, there is a pro fish documentary on the National Geographic channel (Austar channel 11) at 8.30 tonight that looks very interesting.
Looking at the previews it appears to be aimed squarely at the rec/pro and government regulations controversy - a pro angler's version of fishing, justifying and defending his right to catch.
I'll tape and give a run-down tomorrow it if anyone is interested.

I didn't see the 60 min show.
This one was about a pro working whiting in a Gipsland lake area.
He also did a few days scalloping in the Bight.
Pretty much promoting the plight of the poor strugling pro fisho who only takes what he needs to feed his family.
I think he created the phrase "greener than the greenies".
I taped it for Ausfish Steve - in case hasn't seen it.
I think you'll find the program is called "Money Fish' it was on the ABC a couple of years ago.
Simon.

Good fiction is always entertaining. Are you sure it's not on the Disney channel.

Simon is right, It's called money fish and it was on the ABC a few years ago.
It's been repeated a few times since then.
The main character also popped up in the 60 minutes piece earlier this year.
He doesn't seem a very nice guy to work for either.
Bugman
Bugga ! missed it, but I bet I missed nothing worth watching by the sounds of it.
Thanks anyway for the heads up Dave.
Maybe Brett has a few old stories laying around on the cutting room floor ? ???

If anyone really wants it - it's here

But as I said it is old now and out of date considering the new closures in Victoria. It does really only present one side of the story as well.
It was a program piece and not a news and current affairs piece hence the bias.
