Hey Grunt,I just keep topping up the bottle when it's down under half way so that would keep it ok but I have never had any go"off",jaybee I have never had a sunburn problem with it but I suppose you could still put some suntan cream on over it if the sun was really getting up,just dont fall in the water the oil slick would probably bring a hefty fine for water contamination! .
There are a few fire bans in force in Qld however the only one i know of close at the moment is the gold coast region.
Although that will depend on the current rains as they may lift the ban.
To be sure to be sure contact Ross at the Bribie Island Fire Station who is the Fire Officer incharge of Bribie including Mission Pt and just check.
Still it pays to extra carefull anyway as most of qld is tinder dry.
If all goes well i will even get there myself for an ale or two, of course I will be armed with lots of mozzie spray cause them mossie are on steriods as they are LARGE - MEAN and carry SPEARS and attack in squadron formation.

Hi guys another Mossie deterent is 20 mm of Citronella 20 mm of Dettol. Then fill a half liter bottle with Olive oil or any body oil shake before use rub on exposed parts of body I have seen it work at Donnybrook .

#@%# I would love to fish mission point. I grew up in Donnybrook where my Dad owned the main boat hire business and spent nearly 20 years fishing the passage. I have not been back for 20 years so I dare say it has changed. On the subject of sandflys i have got to say that now working as a fishing guide in NQ where the sandflys all work out and have teeth like bloody rotweillers that no home potion will every be as good as Bushmans. It might cost a few bucks but dead set it is more important up here than an American Express card......don't ever leave home without it.
Hope your trip is a hoot and I look forward to reading the post trip wrap-up. I'll just have to console myself with pinning a few barra and fingermark that weekend.

Did some figuring out. If I leave at 7.00am on Friday the 18th, I will arrive at Mission Point about 5.00pm. So I will stay overnight to spend Saturday o/nite, leaving early on Sunday to get home b4 dark.
Coming up to my site without permission, just hope it doesn't rain again like last time don't want all you reprebates getting in out of the rain at my place. Gee Touchy didn't think I offended you that much not to get an invite and by the way got smashed on Monday 02/09/02 up my little Crick by the first Jack of the season I think YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAA JACK JACK JACKY, should be going off on your trip may even mosey up for a laugh meself armed with the 3 and 4 inchers.
