Hi Agro, Mate there just a friendly get together, if you want to serious fish then go to it, mostly we sit around talk/drink and show new blokes around the area, talking mainly on tackle/boats/gear etc.
theres no pressure just a relaxing w/end.
    regards

Well Argo it sort of goes like this mate........we all arrive at the destination and get set up then the dom and the dog turn up so we can unpack their boat for them.....we have a few drinks.....we talk bout the fishing.....we have a few more drinks.....we talk some more....some do go fishing with a few drinks....the others drink some more.....we eventually all do some fishing and some drinking and someone always catches a fish.......now it is time for the bbq and some serious discussions about yorkers and what colour dress touchy is going to wear....
this sort of sums up the trip mate but what can be said in all seriousness is that you will make some new mates and have a great time and learn something new.

geez webby on the pin trip we didnt see you after you set up you went out fishing so did i but i come back to camp because of wind n current, plus I have fitted wheels to the rig for the next time, lesson learnt dont ever listen to lucky phil about the time and height of the tide. Its bloody hard pushing a boat across the sand to the water

where exactly is the meet? B'bane (south/north side).
i'm not too familiar with your terms. i live in Rockhampton. but i could make my way down.

i'd need to get to the destination though. i'll have my own gear. and if someone was to live in teh local area and i could leave my car there that would be excellent. if it was down around the b'bane area i'd just have to take my surfboard down and catch some waves on teh way back up.

    thanks

Re: Ausfish Meet ang Greet (M&G)

hmm. i'll have to see. south of brissie might be bad for me as i don't know brisbane that well.. i could make it to boondal or toombul but that would be about it... unless i could tailgate someone if they live on the north side.

hmm. good surf down there. really interested me... hehe

haven't been doing much fishing of late, too hot and not many fish around. though the spotties are suppose to be here. might try for them on sunday.

jaybee. i'll have to see as it comes later to the date if i have the money to get down there or not. thanks for the offer by the way.

just another quick question... is this for small gear only? whiting, flathead, bream etc?

can be small gear, around peel you also have the option of parrot, squire, sweetlip, spotties, and the odd spaniard, depends on the weather and whether or not want you want to fish for
    cheers.
