    Grunt,

I'll back that one mate. My fresh fishing is all too rare but one I love just the same. I think some of the "crusty" saltwater types may not join us but it'll be great none the less.

I've been wanting to pick Fitzy's brain about the upper Brissy river for some time.

    I'm in.

    Sounds like a plan Gruntaaaaa.

You will have to show me how you use your Soft Plastics tho as I have'nt had much experience with them. ???

What would be some possible locations be?

    Cheers,

    Dominator.

    Great suggestion Guy's !!!

I think of myself as an 'Allrounder'(just not a good one), so a chance to get back to the 'Fresh' and socialise with you guy's sounds great to me.

I've fished and camped at Somerset,Cressbrook and Bjelke- Petersen and consider all of them worthy venues for a Meet &Greet and catch fish too !!

    Cheers

I`d be happy to attend a freshwater venue somewhere.

If its cricket scores of fish you want, Somerset is the place to go. Not much happening with softies there though. For a relaxing day, you can sit back and troll up as many Bass and Bellies as you want at the moment.

Lets kick around a few ideas.

peeeeuuuuuuuuu arent all fresh water fish slimey and smelly although i do remember fishing the river (creek) at blackall quite a few years ago, with fresh shrimp and yabbies, had a boil up and ate most of the bait, the fish we caught were excellent too, (yellow belly) but with the slime reminded me of the vermin saltwater species.. yukkooo, but the flesh was white and sweet to taste. So convert me if you can but I doubt it..

I reckon we have it at Faust Dam!

The last 2 weeks in Jan are out for me. I'll be other places for a spell in there somewhere. Flood, hail or drought.

I'm there for a freshwater M&G sounds rather interesting to say the least.

A time and location is all that is needed and make sure everyone has a Stocked Impoundment Permit.
