heres something i heard today that im not sure about .
a kiwi bloke i know used to tie a 3m leader to a blown up balloon and let drift out to sea as far as the line would go now in theory it sounds pretty stange but id like to know if anyone has tried it over here or isit just a kiwi sheep thing

Common practice by some anglers .More so from the rocks with the wind behind .
