We,ve had some good solid soaking rain here at Hervey Bay over the last few days - sure would be nice if it were more widespread however I'm certainly looking forwards to fishing after a bit of a much needed flush :-)
Damn near as dry as the proverbial dead dingo's donger up here in Lucinda.
Hopefully the next one will drop a bucket of rain on us without the wind of course.
Timber lures - just bung 'em in the water mate & hang on !!!
I did think it was all fantastic, until last night. My parents were driving north about an hour south of Rocky. Traffic stopped in front of them so obviously they stopped to. My father told me they were waiting for the traffic to move off when a wall of water came and swamped the car. Said it went from about 4 inches deep to level with my mothers window sill in a matter of seconds.
They had to scramble from the car. Luckily a truck was passing the other way and saw what was happening. The driver stopped and mum and dad jumped in. The car was destroyed seconds later.
Hell - scary stuff. Glad to hear your folks are OK though.
Been in a flash flood in the mountains once - was not even raining hard where we were. Tremendous roar coming down the gorge - change of undies required afterwards.
