Looks like Beni is not giving up. Making a bee line for the coast between Mackay and 1770.

Let's hope it moves inland a ways and dumps plenty for the farmers.

Volvo, I'm in Rocky and we've had some light rain today, with a few good showers in there. Not a lot of rain but hey, at the moment we're thankful for anything !

good on Cyclone beni as we all need the rain but let us all hope that they get it where it is need and as will as that it will be good down here for the fishing as soon as we get a break in the weather to go out that is so lets us all hope that the weather is only the start of the end of the drought for all concerned

shoot L.P there is a stroke of life left in the old bones yet and we were all told the you where just a break down old H!!!!!!!!!!! fisherman
that tells big yarns boy by the life of some miracle you still have some poetry in you yet in which this means you may still have some life to give for fighting those big fish yet
so let the rain continue and when it stops may L.P be stuck working so the others may catch the fish

Hey Krazyfisher that arrow is still pointing your way at 5am today.....at least Beni has been downgraded to a category 0.
Mate should be good fishing after the weather settles down.

Whilst we are in a poetic frame of mind & with credit &/ apologies to A. B. “Banjo” Patterson…



There was movement at the boatramps, for the word had passed around
That the low they had named Beni was on its way,
And the sky was dark & thunderous – the rains began to pound,
So all the fishos gathered to the fray.

The fresh & salty anglers from rivers near & far
Had read the post on Ausfish overnight.
For fishos loooooove a flushout, so they leapt into their cars
And the sniff of rain did fill them with delight.

There was Harro (you know Harro) sipping coffee ??? from a cup,
And Fitzy with his fly rod set to go.
Few lads could outfish these boys when the dams are rising up
They can land a pattern ‘tween branches hangin’ low.

And Nugget from the Logan hammered up to throw a bait,
With Steve “Ausfish” Brown they motored thru the rain
To catch a score of shovel nose – “ They’re Jewfish HONEST MATE ”
Nugget said to Steve once more & yet again.
