Hey guys how about some nice things about Kiwi's,Wombat's a Kiwi but he has been here 21years but still a Kiwi at heart.
Grunter take most of the things these Aussies say with a grain salt
but mean nothing by it as they are a great lot to go fishing with and also lots of laughs.
    Cheers Wombat [KIWI]

Grunter, as wombat said we are a pretty good bunch of blokes and most things we say are said in jest.

    Re: distance casting

    Hi Grunter,
great to hear someone on the forum also likes a bit of a challenge.
There is a distance casting body in Aus. They have some rules which I think make the casting a little dangerous for me so I don't cast with. The main rule I don't like is you can't use a leader of a different weight. So a lot of snap off's or not much distance. We are thinking of starting up our own casting body which uses the same rules as the poms. A group of us have been learning with John softly. He has his own forum at fishing monthly . com something. We have just been testing a new kilwell blank you guy's make in NZ that cook's. First casts around 180 mt's. But still in early stages. need a lot more practise.
Any way I hope that gives you an idea.
