PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant VBA_SCRIPT - assumed 'VBA_SCRIPT' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in ..../includes/functions_navigation.php(802) : eval()'d code on line 1 Question on the weather icon (Ausfish)
How does it determine what the sky conditions are like ???
The raining one is obviously when the string is wet and with Fog well that could be determined from the data but the "Few clouds", "Sky Clear", "Partly cloudly" etc type of changing sky condition stuff comes from where?
Steve has a camera pointed at the sky and a density recognition program that automatically deciphers cloud cover / atmospheric conditions and grades them from clear to cloudy and selects the correct icon accordingly.
All very high tech.
If you believe that I'll sell you some beachfront land at Ipswich.

The Forecast icon is done via some software (Virtual Weather Station - Internet Version). The software uses info from the weather station that is mounted on the roof. It can also be set up to receive data from any number of other sources that are available from the net.The icon you see on the Chat board is only a forecast, it does not neccesarily match with the actual curent condition, that is shown on the other page.
Software is available from ambientweather.com the weather station is a Oregan Scientific 918, info on the software and the station can be found on the Ambient site.
