    Lumo Sinkers

    G'Day Gang,Can I have some input from the offshore fisho's re the pro's/con's of coloured/lumo (same?)sinkers when offshore floatlining,I have used beads & rubber tubing but more as a sinker stopper than a attraction.Cheers T.><> ><> ><>.

Lumo sinkers...........I thought the post was about Lumo Stinkers. ???

Anyway, The Bugmiester swears by them and he's produced good fish using them.

I prefer the tubing............and Green is THE colour.

    Re: Lumo Sinkers

A lot of offshore do use lumo sinkers. Ross McCubbin who runs offshore charters from the Gold Coast uses them successfully for Jewies/Snapper.
I know of one angler who purchased $300 of lumo sinkers for a Straddie Classic a few years back. This guy was no slouch either when it comes to offshore and is always in with the prizewinners.
I think Doug Burt's Tackleworld still carries a range of them??

    Re: Lumo Sinkers

    Apparently remove do chew well...

you can buy glow pigment and you could put some glue on the sinkers, dip them in the pigment then spray a coat of clear, not sure how long it will last but worth a try. Tubing might be easier!

    Re: Lumo Sinkers

I use them & they seem to go ok. My only issue was you have 6 rolling around in a compartment in your tackle box, & I ended up with a pile of green/yellow pigment & 6 bald sinkers!!
