Just did a tour of the DPI Northern Fisheries Research Centre at Cairns and saw some of the results of the Mangrove Jack Breeding Program. Very impressive.
A no of these fish are being released into the fresh at Tinaroo Dam along with the barra.
I was wondering if anyone has heard of any results of jacks being caught at Tinaroo. When they reach maturity I imagine they will be massive. Would be well worth a trip up there.
By the way, had a look at Tinarroo and looks as low as I have ever seen it - about 25%. No time to fish it unfortunatly.
