    PIKE
Can catch heaps of them in the net on the ramp at Cleveland under the lights sometimes.
    Taste like shit.
Anything slimy is out in my books.
But big fish love them, so as a livey they are great.
Snip his tail and drop him down as you drift over a reef and hang on.

Joe, you'll eat just about anything that comes out of the ocean.

Get past the smell and slime. ffs, that's why we don't touch 'em.

    I am with Phil Joe.
I have heard you say you eat Pillies so I am dubious towards your last comments.
But every man to his own opinion LOL.

    Re: What fish is this?

the mother in law fish your refering to would be a dirty old mowong... yet another "scum of the ocean".
as for eating slimies, they are one of the most commonly eaten fish in indonesia, aparently they marinate them before they cook them. i actually wouldnt mind trying one.

    Re: What fish is this?

First one is a Pike, either a yellowfin or a striped sea, and the 2nd one is a Sgt Baker or a Grinner

The MOTHER IN-LAW fish looks like a combination of a grinner x flathead x whiting
It's a pain in the arse
