Take me Fishing - Sunshine Coast - Plz :)

Ok. as fate would have it i'll be in the sunshine coast / brisbane from this weekend.

I want to do a bit of Fly Fishing while i'm down around the Noosa Area. but i'm on a very tight schedule while i'm at the Sunshine coast.

I'll prolly only be free to do something on tuesday and wednesday of next week. so if anyone would like to take me fishing that would be most appreciated.

If your inviting me out on a boat i only like calm weather . hehehehe. but plz let me know if you are and i'll bring some extra gear down.

Hope i'm not asking too much and sounding too desperate, just want to catch a few fish.

    Thanks
    Jason

From what I know about fly fishing... (VERY LITTLE)... they catch threadfin in Lake Cooroybah (spelling) Also just before you enter that lake I am sure they catch Jack's with fly too. Maybe a local can confirm that for you.
    cheers

Hi Tim i see you fish the Maroochy, I Have a place at Mooloolaba and haven't fished at Maroochy much, I was wondering is there any good Yabbies banks there, any info would be much appreciated, I normally fish the southern end of the coast.

Maroochy river has many yabbie banks.. most commonly known one is the sandbar out from Eudlo Creek, people pull up where theres a red nav marker about 600 meters to the left of the mouth, (Careful tho, shallow waters, you need to head towards the motorway bridge, then once ur out in the middle of the river, you can turn back towards the upper river)

truth is, pull up at the mouth of eudlo next to the No Ski'ing sign, and youve got about 12 acres of yabbie yanks in water from as deep as 3" to 4ft.. .. and if ur pumping you can snag upto 4 or 5 yabbies a hole
