    When and where is a good place up north to go on a guided barra fishing trip?

    Stenno is a local guide in the Burdekin (Ayr, Homehill)district. Mate if this guy cant get you on them then they are not there.

    I agree with Robbo, give stenno a go. I've never been on one of his trips but a few blokes from work go there regularly with one of them being on the cover of his advertising pamphlet with a meter+ barra. Two of them are heading up on Thursday.

    What sort of barra do you want to catch - salted or unsalted. For unsalted visit www.mafsa.com and then the forum section for some details (including local guides).

    A mate just went on a trip with Stenno recently.

    I don't think they specifically targeted Barra but they got one plus some others (jack, big bream, muddies). From all reports he had good day.

    Fishing guide in the Burdekin area, grab a copy of Fish and Boat, he always in there.

    You can get Stenno on (07)47833894 and if he cant get you onto a fish no one can . Not just Barra either and hell work his but of for ya to get you onto some good fish. Cheers

    He also has a hut at the Barrattas that you can stay at and enjoy some fish and prawns and some crab to. Give it a go

    How soon do you want to go...... Try Nathan kemp a go at full-on charters and fish hinchinbrook.It will blow your mind, the amount of large barra that he can hook you up with....Tell him Wide Side sent you 8)
