Land Based Mangrove Jack

I know it's still a little cold yet, and without anyone giving away their secret spot, can anyone point to some land based spots on either the Gold or Sunshine Coasts where I might be able to try for a Mangrove Jack?

Earlier this year I was busted off twice by something in upper Tallebugera Creek that HAD to be a jack, but of course until I catch one, I can't say for sure it was one.

There was an article by Nugget in Bush n Beach in December 2003 for landbased targetting of jacks. Here are a few of his suggestions:

Boat harbour, Paradise Point.
Turana Street, Coombabah
Logan River - Riedel Road, Carbrook
