Anyone wanna buy a boat? It's a 17' Allycraft centre console, with a 50 Honda 4 stroke, casting platform, T-Roof, rod holders by the million, livie tank, multi-seats, carries 6, etc etc.

I don't need it anymore. Small bream I can catch off the flippin jetty for a lot less grief and expense >

We all have days like that when you wonder why you bother, things don't work out for you, or things just go plain bad! Well, at least I have had days like that.

Maybe the lack of rain is affecting the fishing?

I'd suggest going on a charter in your local waters. Brad Smith does charters in the Tweed. You will learn alot and then you can use the same techniques in the same locations next time you go yourself. Its alot better value for money than selling your boat and all your gear!!

well for me i would have to say if i expected to get good fish every trip i would be peeved but i DONT i go fishing to leave all the work and stuff behind and enjoy life.

if i get a fish its a bonus

whilst not wanting to cut down a healthy whinge mid-stroke, i suspect this item in your rig's manifest (highlighted for your attention) is under-utilised on your vessel.

but hey, sell the rig anyway - get some sand in between ya toes & lots of 2kg tailor in the surf at the tweed as we speak.

I had a day like that yesterday... no fish, shit conditions, scratch in my boat from a jetty, and a snag that took me forever to fix. then bloody braid wouldn't tie properly and just pissed off, to top it off the bloody port security chased me away... just put it down to bad luck, go home and have a a beer.

Render, just put the last month or so down as a bad joke. Nobody has been catching much if anything for a while. Even been quiet for the offshore guys. Has even been testing my perseverence. I consider a 3 fish haul for a 10 hour session a good day. Sad isn't it.

Anyway hang in there girl, it will only get better.
