I sorry but I really don't get how people can spend so much money on decorating their houses when there are so many people in our society with absolutely nothing. Homeless, abused, isolated, marginalized, unemployed, refugees, mentally ill, disabled, people who our government thinks are not deserving of help.

It is just another obscene Christmas commercialization to me.

Give the money to the Salvos or someone who can use it well if you have it to spare. I work with refugees and asylum seekers if they do get "Protection Visas" they cannot work and get no government support so they are genuine refugees but have to rely on begging from overloaded charities for support they would gladly work if they could but if they do it breaches their conditions and the government will make things worse for them!!!
