Great little engines in their day dnej.
Look for an old semi retired mechanic somewhere, they probably cut their teeth on them, lawn mower repair places would also be a good place to try. Parts could be difficult to find now.

mate what size(hp) and whats it doin???have got one on my powersaw...i have got it down to a fine art to starting it,,,very fussy and needs to be done(mine) exactly right otherwise i can try all day and it just laughs at me.....

Its a mark 10, from a 2.2 c foot concrete mixer. Is under load when it starts.

Took it to small engine mechanic, great bloke. Put in a new carby gasget, new fuel tap, new fuel line, and away she went.
I installed it when I took it home, put on the pulley belts, it started easily, but then when the governeror kicked in, and opened the throttle, it died, as it is under load when its starts.

Have tried setting the choke in different positions, but to no avail.
Plug was then badly fouled (have tried 3 new plugs before I took it to him)
After it died , it tried to fire, but no go. Then nothing.
Took it back to him ,and he got it running again, but not well enough to say he fixed it.
He has done the timing, and that seems all OK.Got him stumped now.
