a friend of mine is in a spot of trouble his motor in his hilux has shat itself and he needs a new one but not just a normal hilux motor, any help appreciated or any internet sites that may be of help,here are the details of the motor
V6 buick
High Port
Sure Fire
Even Fire
the distributor is at the front, 3.8l or 3.3
not sure wether i should have put this here or in the wanted section
the only 3.8L Buick motors i know of are coil pack based Commodore V6 engines. You have the option of the '3800' motor out of VN to VR commodores, or the Ecotec out of the VS to VY models.
If its the VS to VY one, watch the alternators in them.
If you're looking to actually buy one of the Commodore motors, have a look at ABC Auto Gear... they have them advertised for $950. There would be a bit of work involved though.
