    Barra season

42 hours to go! #Damn! I'm working. #I feel ill already. #Leave some for me please. Actually, I'm off Thurs & Fri wondering if anyone else dropping a line in on those days (Ingham to Ayr) I'm in Townsville. Warning, I may just come and join ya.
Any fishing is good fishing (should probably say Any fishing is...probably going to be illegal soon)

    Unfortunatly im working too....

Went over to croccy and alligator today , only caught one undersize grunter ( released of course ) , one catfish , one average queenfish, seems the rains must have pushed out the barra out of there judging by the number of free jumpers i seen in the shallows off the beaches over cape cleveland. Plenty of bait over there as always. My best bet given the right tides would be to fish the headlands over there. Probably as there would be less boat traffic over there.

The bohle would be my second choice , but ill be avoiding there until the frenzy dies down !.

Went and checked out the Bohle yesterday, and yes, it was packed, a few muddies around but had a hard time getting in the small creeks to get bait because there were so many people around. Fish wise we got a nice cod and a very nice jack (43cm) that were both caught on lures. Will be packed from Tuesday onwards still.

    Cheers

I'll be at the Haughton first thing Wed. morning, plenty of barra and crabs down there of late. Live whiting for bait, the bigger the better.
