Double Island Point
Planning to go up to Double Island Point within the next few weeks. Heard that there are some good sea bream and tailor. Can anyone of you who frequent DIP or who have been there recently give some pointers. Your input will be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Double Island Point
hi angah, yeah she's a top spot up there, have been quite a few tailor up there of late especially down near the nossa river mouth. bream are hanging around this bottom area too and around the patches of coffe rock along teewah and the camping areas.
try and pull some beach worms and fish the low tide gutters and drains at night for the big whiting and tarwhine, got a heap of big tarwhine up there last weekend and some good whiting.
about 2.2 Km north of the fresh water camping area track is a patch of rocks which is normaly exposed under water keep and eye out for theses as there worth a throw for some big bream wich feed on and around them, hurl pipis or small flesh bait onto the rock and let the bait drift over and past them...... then hang on.
ill be up there in two weeks time for another rainbow beach club comp, so if ya see a white landrover covered in rods working up and down the beach say hello.
