Re: send this guy a thank you email

I sent this bloke an email and gave a few suggestions re handling fish prior to release and to his credit he gave me a response:

He swam away well, tough fish in the lachlan. Will know what to do with the next big fella though.

Well done screaming Eagle! I was going to shoot him an email pointing to QLD dpi - they have some great publications on handling big fish, but though maybe that was being a bit too nasty
    Cheers,

christ, is that puddle in the background a river.
We really don't leave them much water down around the corner once we queenslanders have finished with it.

Do you need a rod & reel in a river like that or do you just tackle 'em Tonie Carroll style!

there is not a lot of merit in killing one of those fish, always best to put them back.

    Chris,

you should see what some parts of the Namoi look like now, it's a shocker.

    thats a great fish.

Roz your right the Namoi really has changed, some of the deep spots i used to swim in as a kid, i can now walk across as it is completely silted up.

where you used to put a boat in an travel up and down the river for Kms now your stuck to a few hundred meters at a time.
