Bribie island beach permit
Anybody have an idea of the cost of a 4WD permit to run up the Bribie beach for a fish is worth ??

Permits 4WD Beach Permit: $23 for 24 hours, $33 Weekly. Annual permits are available. You will need your vehicle registration papers and driver's license. Permits available from: Bonagree Caravan Park (cash only); Caboolture Shire Council (07) 5420 0100 (variety of payments). 4WD beach permits are not available from the Rangers.
Camping Permit: Gallaghers Point and Poverty Creek: $4 per person per night, or $16 for a family (2 adults and 3+ kids). Book on 131304. For camping at Ocean Beach, your beach permit is needed and camping sites are on a 'first come, first in' basis.

Main Attractions Sand driving, windy, wavy beaches
Supplies/Facilities Bribie Island itself has food, fuel and other supplies. Brisbane is only a hour away to the south.

The rangers have just taken over. The permits are available from them at a cost of $100 for the year. The council still control the are afrom the four wheel driv on ramp back around to Red BEach. Those with existing permits don't have to catch up but next time they renew it will cost
$100. The renewal will be for one year fromthe date of payment, not like the couincil system that had the same common date. This meant that if you paid $70 a month before the common renewal date it would cost you $70 more.
Much better now.
Also a new entry track which seems to be a bit easier on the novices.

was quoted $32 for a week, and $100 for a year today from the caravan park
