    I will guarantee you that you will only have rod stumps by the time you get to your destination, if not veeeeeeery Carefull
    Not worth the risk.
    I am interested to here that rods get damaged out at sea maybe i will start to leave mine down.

    If you left rods in your launchers I reckon you will hit cables that cross road ways as well as any trees that droop over the road. Had a similar situation with our boat, we put some rod holders in for carrying rods too and from the ramp.
