    Hook Information

Doing a Survey on the most common hook styles used by those targeting Reef Species wether Offshore or Bay.
Below are the most common used, although some of you may used other styles (kirby style etc).
Just need to no the most common three in order from 1 to 3 you used, if the style is not below just list in the three.
Dont need to no the brands just the style.
Yes there are two below Baitholder and Big Mouth that you probably wouldnt use, but you never no.
    regards

Exclusively used O'Shannesy for reef fishsing. Tried a big mouth on a double paternosta last week -and it outfished the old favourite for hookups 3 to 1,

Don't do too much dead bait fishing , but when i do , the O'Shannesy is usually used for the cheap and nasties i don't mind losing to the reef.

Live baits i will either use a circle , or if i am in King or AJ territory i will go for the Hoodlum for the extra strength

Gamakatsu Octopus 8/0 mainly. Nice and sharp.

Would like to try octopus circles next but I bought a quantity of the above.

    Re: Hook Information

We have been using Hoodlums for a while now with reasonable catches. The hook is strong whilst being small allowing it to be hidden within most cubes of bait.Retains it point very well and is easily touched up

Perma steel..........................you know the ones. I think people get a tad carried away with a different hook for every different species and method.

This style is good by themselves, they gang easy and as they are straight, can be ganged for a trolling bait.
