Over the past three weeks myself and a friend kevin denlay have been diving a old shipwreck offshore noosa with the help of GBC as surface support. The wreck appears to be between 135-145 years old and is of great historical value as it is untouched . We have recovered the ships bell and several bottles which have been used to help date the wreck and with a possible identification , which at this stage seems a long way off. These artifacts have been handed over to the museum as any wreck of this age is protected from plunder by the historical shipwrecks act 1972. Hope to post some pics soon !
