Pots raided again at tin can bay.

Well we had in 6 pots for 5 days the first day we got to tincan bay we wacked in one pot and pulled a nice buck so decided to put in a couple of other but due to the holiday season and the people who seem to want our crab more then we did we ended up with no more muddies. We placed our pots in snapper creek. only to have them run the first two days even after moving them. so we decided to name the pots and tie them low in the mangroves. again they were run so we moved them again and this time i zip tied the baits in, in bait boxes and also put three zip ties on each pots entry only to come along the next day and see foot prints in the mud and all 6 pots had the zip ties cut off them and the bait removed along with what ever had moved into the pots over the evenings events.

Lets hope it is not a fellow ausfisher but gee if you know anyone one who runs others pots i hope they enjoyed the crab.......

    Cheers

Sounds pretty bad, getting your pots raided. Personally I would never leave my pots in Snapper Creek, too much traffic and bugger all decent crabs anyway.

As for the note on your windscreen, when I lived there (Tin Can) we had guys speed past the ramp and cause problems. A note on your windscreen is pretty mild I reckon. Here is a link to an incident at the Norman Pt ramp - [ftp]http://www.ausfish.com.au/cgi-ausfish/yabb2/YaBB.cgi?num=1112773859[/ftp]

Some people dont hang around waiting for you to return but they still want you to know that the speed limit is 6 knots, hence the note.

    Cheers

James that is the point we only did 6 knots from the 2nd green beckon where the first 6knots sign is through to the other side of the marina. Although it was funny to watch the local coast guard plaining through the right hand side of the river. i know who put the note there it was a house boat deweler. he gave us a dirty look everytime we past the marina. As for speed round the boat ramp i am of the same opion it is nothing but pure danger to even be doing 6 knots and having the misses and an 8 month old in the boat i am more then aware of the dangers and there is way to many wankers out there.

Thanks for the tip it is welcomed.

    Cheers

I just think a polite word is more helpful then a rude note.
