Probably the best way for you to find this gentleman would be by addressing a letter outlining all the circumstances and information you currently have to the Missing Persons Section of the Police Service of the state in which you reside.
They will endeavour to locate him for you.
Obviously they will not reveal his address details to you but they will certainly get a message to him for him to ring you.
can not be sure about this but here goes anyway i knew bazil and his name was mentioned over christmas talk you know the sort of things like i wonder where so and so is now when bazils name came up someone said he is in the gulf country running a fishing guide and tourist operation hope this helps

Hi Dave and fish sledger and other thoughtful ausfishers
I am sorry to inform you all that up till this moment(Wednesday morning 18th Jan)I have had no luck at all in locating Bazil Noonan. Every person I called either did not know who I was talking about or once knew him but just have no idea where he maybe at this very moment. I even contacted the Queensland Tourism authority and have all of them looking. I also contacted the Northen Territory Commision and they will try to help me too. I also have sent emails to every fishing resort that I could find in the Gulf, FNQ and Arnhem land. Luckily my husband went out on Sunday for 3 hours so that gave me a chance to make all these phone calls, otherwise he would think something sneaky was going on if I took the phone outside and started whispering to people as I usually speak loudly. But he will know something is going on when he gets the next phone bill unless I can locate Bazil ASAP. Miracles do happen still and at the moment I know something good will come out of all this.
Thanx Friends
Rose
Up till now, I have not located Bazil. I think I know now, why my husband gave up years ago. Unfortunately, if someone has a silent number and you are looking for them, then you can just give up and say"its a lost cause"
At the moment I feel depressed as the biggest problem is that when you call someone they think the worst of you and think you are after that person for other reasons and they are very defensive about talking to you. They must think I am a private detective or work for the taxation. So I just hope none of you lose contact with someone and then try to find them as the Wall of Silence comes up.
I don't know what else to do now.

If you are reasonably sure that you know where he is perhaps you could try placing an advertisement in the towns newspaper. Maybe just a brief note saying why you are trying to locate him and ask him to call your number.
Just a thought
Dave
Ps. My sister's boss said that he didn't know him. Seems a bit strange to me as it is an uncommon surname and the photo of Bazil looked similar to Lyndell's employer.
I am Basil's brother. He is currently visiting Susan in the Cook Islands and is due back any day. He has been working for other brother Robert at Noonans Garage, Ashgrove. You will be able to contact him there or speak to Rob on 07 3366 4138 or 0400 664 138. Pete.
Hi again
John Haines phoned me and let me know. We were all involved in offshore power boat racing years ago, and he just happened on it while looking through the chat headings. Pretty sure Bas's email is "Removed" , so maybe you can contact that way as well.
Susan has been managing a very up market resort in Cook Islands - Aitutaki (or something like that), and she has just signed on for another year!!
Good luck. Pete.
