We are looking for volunteers to possibly be the “Face” of TakeMeFishing.
TakeMeFishing is a non profit organization that will encourage people and families to take up fishing. It will also encourage others that don’t go fishing to think more positively about fishing. In some ways it will address the advertising by the anti fishing movement and even the XXXX Beer adverts.
We will have an advertising campaign, and follow up with “how to” articles in the general media and a DIY kit for community groups and even fishing clubs – to run kids fishing days.
We are taking a successful USA campaign and remaking it for Australia. A lot of support has come from industry behind the scenes and from a Government grant
We are looking for 2 boys and 2 girls to be in the advertisements. Aged 8 to 10 and 11-13.
Basically they need to be typical Aussie kids - and have the ability to produce a calm happy smile that says “ I will always remember this day”
Our volunteer photographer lives in Brisbane - but we could help out with travel costs for the right face.
Anyway - if you would like to help out please send me a recent snapshot. It does not have to be fishing at all.
Later we will need some mums and dads to be in the background of the photos.
Great cause!! I read your post and thought I would mention that "Take a Kid Fishing Day 2006" (Queensland) will be on Sunday the 30th April this year. I make the advertising posters for this event and therefore get early notice.
I was thinking that this event may be a good place for your photographer to spot the right Family & Kids for your promotion. Venues (there are quite a few around Brisbane) will be advertised a few months leading up to the event in all major tackle shops.
You may already know of this event, but just in case you didn't I thought this may assist.
... as i said above .. there is no date - the photographer will start to select from snapshots, so if you could send me one I will pass them on to her. They Do NOT need to be a photo with a fish. in fact preferably not, just a good face shot.

just a suggestion but i really think we need to go with not only the kids and mum an dad but also the grand parents as this is also where it starts
