Times change, thank goodness. It wasn't that long ago. so maybe we are quicker learners than we think.
Who knows what happens when you deplete the apex preditors, maybe the Grinners take over. Heaven forbid!
What other people think about me is not my business: Michael J Fox.
Exactly, times change.
You can not judge what people did 50+ years ago by todays standards and morals.
The catholic church used to burn people at the stake and everyone at the time thought it was great (cept maybe the guy getting roasted .. ).
Hell when I was 9 years old my parents bought me an air rifle and encouraged me to shoot all the birds in the neighbourhood, something you would get jailed for today.
Different times.. Different values...
They were their then and shore their still swimming around that size?????????
SeaHunt,
I agree. Times do change & I'm not passing judgement.
Just questioning why?
Maybe things were more plentiful?
Maybe this was a time when the common fella fisho could get out there and amongst it with new technology of game reels and boats?
Maybe a question of pride in conquering something so awesome?
You are right on it with different times, different morals.
But with hindsight comes hopefully a bit of wisdom reflection on past & current practices.
The question is still unanswered..... WHY?
great to see them sharks out -of-water >>>
