    Life's Good

Some of the older members may remember me posting a couple of years back as to how I had taken one of my older boys out fishing and put him onto a Noah. He got into a panic and sat down to play it and it was then that he told me that he'd never learned to swim, even after 14 yrs in the Army!

Anyway, I related how he was trying to get over here permanently and was looking for sponsors in IT as the Army would not release details of his employment to immigration under the Official Secrets Act. He was Army trained and didn't have a degree, despite him being manager for a Network of over 1500 computers........Immigration wanted to see 8 yrs experience without a degree and as he'd only been out of the Army 2 yrs, that's all he could show.

To cut a long story short.......since then he has worked hard and changed to IT security and taken 3 exams which have made him acceptable to The Australian Computer Association and Immigration. This morning I got a phone call stating that he's cracked it and is now simply awaiting his visa

I'd rather given up on him as he earns a lot more there than he will here, but as he says, it's not all about money. What a draw card the Aussie life style must be eh?

One down, 2 to go..........now I get to be a real grandad

He's as daft as me, as the pic shows

Once again, thanks to all those who pm'd me with advice at the time of my original post
