Have to agree with Cheech there. I always use liquid solvol in a pump pack, but if that's run out get the orange auto cleaner from the shed. Both products have granules in them to get right into the skin and nails.

    Cheers

Best thing to stop the smell is..........................

Buy a pair of those yellow foam earplugs - insert into nostrils.

    Voila - no more smell

The other must is to use a nail scrubbing brush on both your hands and under the nails. Apparently a lot of the lingering smell is from left over fish bits under the nails.

You need to do a few more overniters where you sleep with it, then you dont have to worry about smelly hands, as you smell like it all over

It has already been metioned but I keep a bottle of liquid solvol under the seat, works a treat.

Wow, we almost made it to 2 pages before the SP Brigade cottoned onto the thread and took the opportunity to highlight the stench free benefits of lure fishing.

Don't the SPs have a pong to them, and what about landing the fish ?

I'm just jealous, I don't have time to even get near a fishing rod lately

I love the smell of bait on my hands, I am a compulsive nail biter so even after the pilchards, prawns and squid are on the hook a quick bite of the nails to put the bait on your breath and you dont notice the smell.

I use a bottle of concentrated lemon juice a few drops and no more smell better than lemons rolling all over the boat .
