Brian , I feel for you mate the buggers call it progress but screw everyone over. If you need a working bee type of weekend to set up the new shed count me in. I am sure others will also chime in and help you set up in the quickest possible way so you don't loose to much income
Mate if all else fails you can use my big shed, very close to the bay as well (double bonus for fishing trips)
As to employment try pinhead he sound busy enough to employ a small country

It really is a rough trot you have been given. I would send off a letter to the Lord Mayor's office and also the local alderman for where you are and tell them WHAT they can do to assist you - i.e. get the EPA and every other Govt Department to give you priority, and also assist in other ways. Tell them that it is unreasonable that you only get a month and a half notice to relocate with the type of business you have, considering the approvals you need off the EPA etc, and remind them that it is their stuff up that has caused this short notice anyway. They have been preparing for this for about two years and the first notice you get is that notice to move. If there is anything I can do to assist, please let me know.

And let's not forget our dear mate FOGGY with those trendy Jap thingies - just as we all splurged mountains of hard earned dollars to acquire them - they will now have to be remoulded into other plastic thingies (coincidentally I haven't even received the colours I want yet - another conspiracy from the devil!)!!
So see dear God, many people stand to lose much from his satanic ways! We all won't wait with baited breath for Sunday nights to see who scored the latest 90cm plus fish from Mud, who bagged out at Wello or in the Brissie, and who the wife has chased out in to the dog house for not mowing the lawn, cleaning the shed, washing the dog, taking out the rubbish, polishing the car etc etc because he was out after the treasured bay Snapper!

They are the only ones that win as you end up paying them for their New Merc to drive and I ended up as a bankrupt for 7 years.

Webby, there isn't much I can do from up here in CQ but offer my best wishes to you. Small business is the backbone of this country, and Australia can not afford to loose any more to the big players.... regardless of the methods.
That guy you have for a Mayor seems to get off on big projects ... regardles of outcome. In fact, I recon the best thing for the south east corner of this state is to freeze all development and send it out to the country areas. The south east corner has reached the point of not being able to sustain itself. But then that's another matter.

This thread bears striking similarities to one I started regarding the proposal and now apparent reality of damming the Mary River and how I objected to losing my family farm and homes, when I asked for support from Ausfishers some agreed and many others told me that I was suffering NIMBY syndrome. Well its not NIMBY syndrome, its your life and you dont want to lose it.
Just whether or not you support the cause relates to how close to home the issue is !!!
