Where in Brisbane are you? Most of the larger tackle shops have a flyfishing section. Pretty much anything you could want can be tracked down with a few phone calls. We're on the Southside (Fish Head - Cnr Broadwater Tce and Stradbroke St, Redland Bay 3206 7999). We are a small shop but stock a growing range of SW fly including Rio and Airflo lines. These are between $115 - $130, but some other popular brands are anything up to $150.
Hi thanks for your reply, I'm currently staying at Paddington, no shops in the city or nearby?was thinking of getting the scientific angler beginner or the bonefish taper 6 wt fly line, any idea how much does it cost?
i usually go to tackleworld (i think it's called) on old cleveland road. it's about the closest to the city. there's another good store going out off town around windsor (maybe wilsons or something like that...) and there's carseldine tackle on the bruce highway just as you leave brisbane going north. there was a mossops on ipswich road near town but i think they might have moved.
most SA lines are around the $130-140
