Visiting Australia, Needing to price Sage XP rod

Hi to all from sunny Scotland. I plan to visit my son in Sydney and thinking of buying a Sage XP 10' #6 line but having real trouble finding an online sight in Australia that quotes price. I managed to get a list of retails selling Sage but non quote price. I would apprecaite any help with this and any suggestions on Australian tackle items that could be suggsted would be worth looking out for maybe not available in the UK.

i think ur looking around the $1200 to $1500 Aussie Dollers for a sage XP rod.. not spot on.. but thats pretty average price for one

I was wondering, is this rod going to be a surprise gift to him or are you buying it for yourself to use when you get there? If it is for you to use, why not just ask him to go to a local sporting goods store and buy it for you with the promise of paying him back when you get there or sending him the money now and having him buy it. That way, it will be there for you when you get there guaranteed (no "it got lost in the mail" headaches). You will save the cost of shipping it as well. If you're worried about putting him through the trouble of shopping for you, don't be, that's what sons are for. After all of the diaper changes you went through for him when he was a small tot, a shopping trip is the least he owes you!

Anyway, I hope you have a happy and safe trip to Australia with your son. Congratulations! Catch a bunch!

Don't bother buying from here its waaaayyyy too expensive.

either get it shipped from the states or even better goto ebay. I have some fantastic redington rods (and noiw a reel) thats cheaper the retail...
