Yamaha National FLYFISHING & Sportfishing Expo
Hi All,
Is anybody going to the expo in Melbourne on the 6th-8th of August from this site ?( from the ad in Flylife on p 23) I'm all booked to go with some mates.Should be some good information and products to see. If anyones going let me know and we'll catch up for a beer.

I'll be there demonstrating TFO rods and Old Florida reels and generally checking it all out - looking forward to catching up with a few board members.

Looks like being another great show - we're also staying at the Sandown Hotel Friday / Saturday nights.Make sure you come along to the dinner on Saturday night - which will be at the steak house at the Sandown

No probs dave,,Got in a bit of trouble last time I was in a room with a bunch of trouties....(I asked one of them if trout ate flies, or did they just get them on bait...)

id jump in with both feet, but...im heading to pancake creek for 10 days of fishing!! ill be swinging fly 90% of the time, rest ill be teaching fellas how to use soft plastics.. so back to the vice for me, few more surf candys!

Just got back from the expo and had a great time. I don't think there is any place where you can cast so many rods and try so many new lines comming out on the market. The sage xi2 were the best and the winston boren x2 would be my pick for a casting comp rod its so light to cast with. The exhibitors would freely let you take out their rods and line for a cast in the casting alley. It was also good to meet many new faces and organize trips together in the future.
I will be definitely be going next year

Ditto Steve except i have the Winston shading the Sage .
Hope your trip home was as uneventful as ours.(you had to be on both our flights to know [smiley=anxious.gif])
