used that same trick myself on the weekend to get some Cobra ready for rigging,worked a treat,turned it into a totally different line to handle.

Yeah, Morsies Cobra stayed supple all day and was great to cast...especially the 30ld behind an 8wt...
(Used 20lb on a 7 wt a few years ago...it cannons out unbeleivably too!!!)

I suppose one could stuff 20lb Gudebrod with Fireline, it might stiffen it a bit but it seems pointless to me. I'd much rather try the Fireline as the running line, like about 80lb and get a Loctite kit of 406 glue and 707 oxidising agent and glue loops to the Fireline. Its slick, no stretch etc. Barry went to a lot of trouble to get that Talon line and it seems to work very well.
Have a serious look at that PrpPower thing. Its the ultimate running line. But you need a Spectra butchers glove. Max
