Newbie needs advice
Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on what type of flies to use when chasing black bream, flathead and flounder in an estuary. I live in perth, and plan on using my 7wt outfit to catch the abovementioned species from the flats of the swan river. I've heard #2 clousers in chartreuse and white are the ducks nuts... Any other patterns i could get that would be a goer?
Thanks in advance

Alex,
If your bream, flathead and flounder are like ours then all you will need to start with is some clousers, charlies and some srimp paterns. yellow or green over white are the ducks nuts!!!!

If your interest is bream I suggest a change to a TFO Pro 2 weight, magic, and a lot of black woolley buggers. Black seems to work best and after a short session with Ron Pearson on the Bremer River I can vouch for the dark colours.
For flathead and flounder very small deceiver type flies, white, also on the 2#. Have fun, but try the magic of very light gear. Max
