Loss of a mate and flyfisher

Just a quick note to let users know that Matt Quinn "quinny69" was tragically killed in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon.
The fishing world has lost one of its best. Matt was always quick to help those who asked and was a skilled fly tier and fisher in both the salt and fresh.
    We will miss you Matt

I too had read a few of Quinny's posts. Very sad to hear. Please pass on condolences to his family, mates and fishing buddies

It is written in The Compleat Angler (Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton) ; "Your company and discourse (lengthy converstaions) have been so useful and pleasant, that I may truly say I have only lived since I enjoyed them, and turned Angler, and not before. Nevertheless, here I must part with you, here in this now sad place where I was so happy at first to meet you....but I shall long for your beloved company at the appointed time and place.

Here's hoping Quinny69 is waiting at a water's edge with so many fish hookups he can't keep track.

    So Long

Quinnie will definately be missed by all his fellow fly fishers, please pass my condolences to his family and friends. Unfortunately was unable to attend the funeral yesterday, but my fellow fisher Kilkenny attended to pass on his thoughts etc

Hopefully like the rest of us when we finally go, will be sitting and fishing his favourite fishing spot somewhere.

    Good on ya mate!

Attended Monday - very tough . Good roll up of fellow flyfishers and tops to see all in their Columbia shirts and bandanas.
I'm desperately trying to find a pic I took of Quiiny that I'm sure I posted somehwere on this site - he's got a lovely bend in the 10wt and all you can see is pink backing - just how he liked it.
