Good place to learn the basics

    Hi all,
Went out to Closeys, used to be Glasseys Fishing World this morning, my first time with my new fly rod, first time fly fishing period. Steve is a nice bloke and gave me a few pointers a set me loose on his ponds brimming with fish, bloody camera let me down so got no pics for ya, but have a look at the site, For learners this is a great place to have a flick and get the idea how to play a fish, was a reel eye opener for me. Got about 10 fish over the 4 hours i was there, mostly earlier in the morning. mosly Bacoo (probly spelt wrong ) very good fighting little fish. http://www.glassysfishingworld.com.au/

Havent been out there, but I did see Steve the owner on tv yesterday talking the place up, and recall him saying summer is the best time to head out there, Steve's a real nice bloke and will talk ya ear off about the place if ya have the time, and pulling a few nice sized bacoo sure beats practicing your cast in the park

    new website is www.fishingpark.com.au

He has barra, toga, and bass as well as lots of other species.
    Catch and release.

15 entry plus 40 per rod.
Ring first to check the ponds are open and not down for maintenance.
