If you can not find it here, then it probably doesn't exist.

Hi Steve
It will depend on where you are going to fish, rivers or lakes.I have done quite a lot of fly fishing there, mainly in the Taupo, Turangi, Tongariro River area which I would recommend. There are many rivers that flow into the lake and virtually thousands of places to fish. You will probably target rainbow trout and possibly the odd brown. A 5/6 weight would be sufficient in most cases however if you fish the Tongariro you would need to go up to a 9 weight outfit. Following are some websites which give daily reports in the area and also flies to use. I recommend the Wooly Bugger for wet lining and Pheasant Tail Nymphs and Glo Bugs for nymphing. www.aucklandfreshwateranglers.co.nz (fishing club I was a member of)- www.sportinglife.co.nz - www.taupo.com. Ex Kiwi.
Hope this helps.
Paul.
