Sadly I'm too far to join in, but I can only say that I belonged to the Transvaal Flytyers Federation - a local club chapter of SA flytyers. I learned tons and always enjoyed the evenings - great fun for Dad / Grandad and the kids too.
Is anyone in the Brisbane/Gold Coast areas interested in learning to tye or participate in flytying nights?
Open to beginners and advanced, initially, and if enough interest is shown, we can get Blue Pritchard to show us some of his tricks, there will be a cost if you want to participate in Blue's school but i can recommend them.
Venues can be alternated from North and South locations, they would most likely be first week of month, mid week.
Post here if you would like to attend and would like to know about the Blue school.
Its a great way to learn and catch up with like minded people.

id be really keen if its located on the gold coast or near .
I could be interested depending on what night and where it is!
Thanks for your replys fellas. They will probably be at Fishhead , Reland Bay and alternate to a venue on the northside every second month, that will help travelling. When a few more show interest, we can arrnge dates. Who else wants to learn how to tye flies?
