Fly fishing guides

Hello

I am looking for a fly guide to take two of my visiting relatives out for a day or two's fishing, anywhere around south east Queensland or northern NSW. Saltwater is preferred but Ive also heard that its worth going north to try out the Barramundi in the Lakes.

Can you recommend anyone ? Ill need a telephone number for them as well.

Thank you Big_unit, Ive had a look at his site and I got a message from Matt also recommending Paul Dolan. I will be telephoning him once Ive confirmed with my relatives that they wish to go to Hervey Bay.

HErvey BAy is only a leisurly 4 hour drive from the Goldie.

With the chance to catch anything form a longtail, queenies, trevally ( many species) , snapper, etc to BARRA and bass.

Its worth the drive.

Hi Gilbert,

I too can recomend Paul Dolan from personal experiance.

Paul has always produced the results for us

As you can see from the pic his work with Tuna on fly is brillant.

This little long tail was caught on a fly that Paul made up the night before while we were discussing out next days trip

Hervey Bay is the place - if you can get up there.I have worked with both Paul Dolan and Nat Bromhead With BOTH being excellent - You won't go wrong with either

Ive done some serious & indepth research on the net and it would appear that by way of the recommendations received here that Paul Dolans Fraser Coast Sport Fishing operation is the best that south east Queensland has to offer.

Yeah, I've fished with both Paul and Nat. Nat is based at Mooloolaba, is closer to the Gold Coast and is pretty good, but Paul is amazing and certainly worth the extra drive to Hervey Bay!
