Barra and bass
hi fellas
i was just wonder do barra an bass live together in farm damms without the barra eating them all ??
and if any1 knows what time of the year do mullet breed or is it just when ever?

Yes Barra and bass can live together untill the barra get big enough and then the commen theory is that the barra eat them i dont think they would eat them all but barra are pretty voracious feeders tho but it would depend upon how the numbers of fodderfish stocks in the dam hold up, as i am sure there are easier fish for them to catch and eat than bass, and a lot less less prickly, but as i said it would depend on food stocks.
On mullet sea mullet spawn in winter the further south you go the earlier the season starts and vice versa. Diamon scale mullet appear to spawn around september if my memory serves me right but as to the other species i am not sure sorry.
