    anchoring low tide

Does any one know of ways to anchor a boat at low tide and retrieve the boat at high tide without swimming out to it

    Greg,

Get yourself an Anchor Mate- the bungee for boats!

I got one at the last boat show - amongst the best buys I have ever made. Not exactly cheap (between $72 and $87 depending on specials) but you only need to use it once to understand it's value.

    Have a look at http://www.impulsemarine.com.au/index.htm?c35.htm&1

it talks about anchoring stern out but it works exactly the same way anchoring bow out. Of course it all depends on how far from the bank low tide extends to. I use mine at the Pin where I have deep water about 40ft from the bank.

I bought mine from Impulse Marine on Special for $72 + postage. A mate got one from Either Wynnum Marine or Wondall Rd Marine for that price as well.
